Job description
Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing guest seating arrangements, handling dining reservations, and ensuring an excellent dining experience at a high-quality establishment located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The position involves coordinating seating for all guests, assisting with waitlists, and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining clean and organized work areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls, record dining reservations, and update the reservation system accurately.
- Manage the guest waitlist and give precise wait time estimations.
- Assign seating using the station rotation chart for efficient table turnover.
- Arrange seating for large parties and guests with special needs.
- Welcome guests, determine party size, and lead them to their table, including pulling out chairs and placing menus.
- Ensure all place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and other standard items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the day.
- Monitor dining room seating availability, overall service flow, and safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with guests and staff to meet guest needs and foster teamwork.
- Support management by assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety and security procedures, and complete required training and certifications.
- Adhere to professional grooming standards, maintain confidentiality, and protect company property.
- Engage guests by greeting them warmly in accordance with company standards and communicate clearly with professional telephone etiquette.
- Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns.
- Uphold quality standards and expectations in service delivery.
- Physically able to stand, sit, walk for extended periods and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds unaided.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant work experience preferred.
- No prior supervisory experience is required.
- No licenses or certifications are mandatory.
