Known for its welcoming environment and commitment to community, the group manages Carlos O'Kelly's, a restaurant founded in 1981 famous for fresh Mexican cuisine and signature margaritas, chips, queso, and salsa. The company values hospitality and generosity at the core of its operations.

Role Overview

As a Host/Hostess, your primary responsibility will be to extend warm welcomes to guests as they enter and exit the restaurant. You will guide visitors to their seats and manage guest flow to ensure a seamless dining experience. Your presence helps create a positive and caring atmosphere, effectively making every guest feel valued from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests by opening doors upon arrival and departure, dedicating approximately 40% of your effort to this.
• Assist guests with special accommodations such as boosters, high chairs, or accessibility needs, contributing about 35% of your duties.
• Oversee the waiting list during busy periods, managing approximately 10% of your workload here.
• Support servers by providing guest-related assistance as required, roughly 5% of the time.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in your work area, completing assigned cleaning tasks (5%).
• Update the feature board and inflate balloons as part of a small portion of your responsibilities (5%).

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong enthusiasm for caring for others and willingness to grow and learn within the hospitality field.
• Positive and friendly attitude.
• Competency in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Physical mobility to stay actively engaged throughout the entire shift.
• Able to carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Skilled in cleaning tasks including wiping tables, legs, booths, and picking up floor debris throughout the restaurant.
• Physical capabilities include navigating the restaurant, communicating effectively with guests, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, as well as bending and stooping as needed.
• Proper vision required for cleanliness inspection and operation of touchscreens; accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
