Role Summary and Duties
The Hose Technician position is based at the Hose Workshop in Aberdeen with permanent full-time status reporting to the Workshop Supervisor. This role focuses on assembling hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies, performing pressure testing according to company guidelines, and ensuring the workshop remains safe and orderly. Key duties include meeting project timelines, collaborating within the workshop and with other departments, adhering to company standards and systems, and participating in safety briefings. Additionally, the technician may need to suggest solutions for hose-related issues, select proper fittings per customer specifications, and provide support to team members.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have prior practical experience with manufacturing, inspecting, and testing flexible hose assemblies and a basic knowledge of hose production operations. Candidates must be capable of performing various tasks independently with minimal supervision and interpreting related standards. A comprehensive understanding of hose assemblies is preferred to enable guidance to others when needed.
