Job description
Role Overview
Join Specsavers as a Home Visits Optical Assistant and bring expert eye care directly to patients who cannot visit stores, serving communities primarily across the Kent area. This role offers dynamic daily experiences in various locations and testing environments, delivering clinical care and support right at patients' doorsteps.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential eyecare to vulnerable individuals at home throughout the Kent region.
- Deliver comprehensive lens dispensing services confidently across all levels.
- Support and engage with patients in their own environments to enhance their sight and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with a team of optical and administrative professionals dedicated to excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Possession of a full UK driving licence and ability to use own car full-time for work purposes.
- At least six months to one year of current or past optical experience with proven dispensing skills at all levels.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting.
- Background knowledge or previous work experience within optics.
- Comfortable using digital tools including tablets and laptops for system operations.
Work Conditions and Benefits
- Annual salary of £26,852.
- Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with some flexibility needed.
