About the Role
Step into an engaging position as a Home Visits Optical Assistant, offering your optical expertise on the move. This role allows you to visit patients who are unable to visit stores, delivering essential eye care directly to their homes across the Kent region. Every day presents new locations and environments, giving you a dynamic and satisfying work experience close to your community.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye care and dispense lenses at all proficiency levels to vulnerable patients unable to attend store appointments.
- Travel throughout Kent to meet patients in their homes, adapting to various testing settings and regional demands.
- Ensure excellent patient experience by combining clinical care with a friendly, community-focused approach.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have full-time access to a personal car.
- Demonstrated dispensing skills at all levels with at least 6 months to 1 year of optical experience.
Preferred Experience
- Background in fast-paced, customer-facing roles.
- Prior exposure to optical environments or basic optical knowledge.
- Comfort with modern technology, including tablets and laptops, and ability to navigate new systems confidently.
Employment Details and Benefits
- Annual salary of 26,852.
- Standard working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with flexibility expected.
