Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Foster trust and respect within the team.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued by addressing product-related inquiries both within the department and throughout the store.
• Acquire and maintain product knowledge to provide informed responses and helpful suggestions to customers.
• Offer product samples to engage customers with new or requested items.
• Communicate current specials in Drug GM and Home categories to customers.
• Recommend relevant Drug GM and Home products to fulfill customer needs.
• Monitor product expiration dates and take necessary actions.
• Accurately label, stock, and maintain inventory of department merchandise.
• Alert the department manager to any order or shipping inconsistencies.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Keep up-to-date with current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional advertisements.
• Support safety initiatives by adhering to procedures, recognizing unsafe conditions, and promptly informing store management.
• Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying managers about repairs needed.
• Report any customer or employee accidents to management.
• Immediately notify management of any safety risks, concerns, or illegal activities including theft or fraud.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
• Strong communication capabilities.
• Basic arithmetic skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail experience.
• Proficiency in a second language, including speaking, reading, or writing.
