About the Role

Join Sainsbury's as a Home Delivery Driver, playing a crucial role in delivering our customers' online grocery orders. Our stores provide a fast-paced, vibrant environment that is central to the local community, offering great value, quality products, and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver grocery orders punctually and in excellent condition.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-organized, roadworthy, and that delivery containers are securely loaded before driving.
• Maintain excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries, managing product substitutions, and communicating any delays promptly.
• Gain strong product, service, and promotion knowledge to offer helpful recommendations.
• Support in-store activities when not engaged in delivery duties.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be over 18 years old and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least one year with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Successfully complete an online driving risk assessment as well as a driving evaluation upon joining.
• Have legal right to work in the UK.
