Home Delivery Driver

About the Role

We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to join our team at Iceland Foods in Thornaby-On-Tees. This role involves delivering groceries to customers' homes, representing the company, and maintaining excellent service standards. This full-time, onsite position offers an hourly rate of £13.71 and benefits including a 15% discount, an optional health care plan, Grocery Aid support, Christmas vouchers, and a minimum of 28 days of holiday.

Key Responsibilities

• Load delivery vans safely, following correct manual handling and lifting techniques.
• Drive responsibly, adhering strictly to safe driving practices.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Ensure the integrity and quality of food deliveries to customers.
• Deliver outstanding customer service during all interactions.
• Support in-store operations when required.
• Work independently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Be flexible to work varied shifts between 6 am and 11 pm.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a full driving license held for a minimum of 3 years with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Display a positive, friendly attitude and have a strong passion for customer satisfaction.
• Be reliable and punctual, able to meet deadlines consistently.
• Maintain a high level of road safety awareness at all times.
