About the Role

Iceland Foods is seeking a dedicated Home Delivery Driver in Gateshead, England. This role involves delivering groceries directly to customers, acting as an important representative of the company. As a driver, you will experience an active work environment with independent responsibilities and direct customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Load the delivery van safely, handling heavy items and performing manual handling tasks carefully.
• Follow all safe driving practices to ensure safety on the road.
• Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to maintain good condition.
• Ensure all food products reach customers in optimal condition.
• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout deliveries.
• Assist in store duties as required.
• Work independently with effective time management skills.
• Be flexible and adaptable to shift patterns ranging between 6am and 11pm.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a valid full driving license held for a minimum of 3 years with no more than 6 points on the license.
• Show a positive and friendly attitude with enthusiasm for excellent customer service.
• Be punctual and able to meet deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to road safety awareness.
