About the Role
Eaton Syalon Ltd is seeking to fill the position of Hire Controller for their busy and well-regarded hire company based in Derby, England. This hands-on role is pivotal to managing the flow of operations, ensuring that customers, drivers, and equipment are coordinated efficiently in a fast-paced hire industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing hire requests from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Scheduling equipment and transportation resources based on availability.
- Serving as the primary liaison for customers, addressing queries and handling order modifications.
- Collaborating with drivers, depot teams, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations.
- Keeping system information and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Contributing to the seamless daily operational functions of the business.
Requirements
- Proven prior experience working in a Hire Controller role.
- Background in plant or tool hire operations.
- Capability to juggle multiple ongoing orders in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with strong customer service orientation.
- A proactive and collaborative approach within team settings.
- Must possess a valid driving license and have the ability to drive.
Working Hours
The standard work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an early finish on Friday.
