Job Overview

We are seeking a High Voltage Underground Cable Expert to join our growing team in Riyadh. This role is pivotal in supporting the energy transition and advancing power generation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of five specialists based at client offices to provide expert support.
• Assist the client in conducting asset inspections and determining health indices.
• Advise on both predictive and reactive maintenance strategies according to asset condition.
• Provide guidance during significant incidents to recommend appropriate repair or restoration measures for malfunctioning equipment.
• Critically assess and challenge Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations and support client repair activities.
• Work closely with headquarters colleagues to analyze and investigate major equipment failures.
• Act as the technical authority and advisor on high voltage underground cable matters for the client.
• Participate in onsite visits alongside the client’s maintenance team as part of the assignment.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification with a solid understanding of electrical assets.
• Have at least five years of experience in managing multiple projects.
• Possess European exposure either through education or professional experience with a European Grid operator.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
• Fluency in English.
• Practical experience working with equipment condition monitoring and maintenance.
• Ideally tested and assessed in a utility, OEM, or maintenance environment.
• Experience managing high voltage equipment ranging from 33 kV up to 400 kV.
