Role Overview
The Heavy Equipment Mechanical Technician position is a full-time onsite role located in Jeddah. In this capacity, you will conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on heavy machinery and vehicles. Responsibilities involve diagnosing mechanical defects, troubleshooting problems across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and performing necessary repairs to maintain safe and reliable equipment operation.
Additional duties include documenting all maintenance tasks, managing workshop tools and equipment, and liaising closely with supervisors and equipment operators about machinery performance. Ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols is critical, as is supporting project continuity by minimizing equipment downtime and responding promptly to breakdowns.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in equipment and vehicle maintenance practices, including routine servicing and scheduled preventive care.
- Hands-on knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- Skilled at diagnosing faults and efficiently troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Preferred experience in construction, contracting, or heavy equipment rental sectors.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service instructions while maintaining safety standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with maintenance teams, operation staff, and supervisors.
- Physically capable of performing manual mechanical tasks such as lifting and working in outdoor environments.
- Committed to workplace safety, complying with company policies, and adaptable to flexible working hours as needed.
