Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic specialized in JCB construction and earthmoving machinery. This position involves inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing JCB machines to ensure efficient operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and service tasks on JCB equipment.
• Identify and fix issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Replace or repair faulty parts and assemblies as needed.
• Conduct functional testing and performance verification after completing repairs.
• Install and set up attachments and accessories for JCB machinery.
• Utilize JCB diagnostic tools, JDS Portal, and other specialized testing equipment effectively.
• Document service activities, maintenance logs, and repair reports accurately.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to JCB manufacturer guidelines and workplace safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline related to heavy equipment or diesel mechanics.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of heavy construction or earthmoving equipment.
• Experience specifically with JCB machinery is highly preferred.
• Technical training or certifications from JCB or other manufacturers will be considered an asset.
• Proficient English communication skills for effective listening and speaking.
