Heavy Duty Cleaner

Job Overview

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in accommodations, office spaces, dining areas, common lounges, washrooms, showers, mods, weapon cleaning rooms, and other designated locations as assigned. Duties include both light and heavy cleaning tasks, ongoing daytime cleaning, responding promptly to spot-cleaning needs, and replenishing restroom and other product dispensers according to a set schedule.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean various areas such as rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, ceilings, showers, water fountains, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and other workspaces.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, damp mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing by means of manual tools and powered machines.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets, rugs, and mats as required.
• Empty and sanitize waste receptacles and ashtrays, properly disposing of trash and replacing garbage bags.
• Clean and disinfect water fountains.
• Wash, clean, and polish interior and exterior windows and windowsills, including doors.
• Dust and straighten drapes and blinds.
• Polish and clean doors, handles, automatic door closers, push bars, kick plates, hand plates, as well as dust grills and window frames.
• Spot clean, dust, and wipe walls, partitions, and baseboards.
• Clean, dust, and sanitize furniture and fixtures.
• Keep storage areas and carts clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
• Replenish washroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap, as well as toiletries, linens, and towels in VIP rooms.
• Assist with snow removal and minor maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and adjusting furniture.
• Perform additional periodic interior and exterior cleaning duties based on monthly, quarterly, or annual schedules and seasonal or project needs.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Role demands significant physical exertion (>80%) including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting items from floor to waist level, moving items waist to shoulder height, stair climbing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, stretching, reaching, bending, twisting, and crouching.
• Exposure to challenging work environments such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises may occur.
