Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care that preserves privacy, dignity, and comfort of residents.
• Assist with everyday tasks including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and hydration.
• Monitor and address residents' physical and emotional needs, escalating issues as necessary.
• Foster warm and respectful interactions with residents and their families/whānau.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment to encourage well-being and independence.
• Adhere to individual care plans and collaborate closely with Registered Nurses to provide consistent, high-standard care.
• Communicate compassionately and clearly with residents, their families, and the care team.
• Uphold health, safety, and infection prevention protocols to ensure a safe setting for all.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of one year experience in caregiving, aged care, or related roles.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards elderly care.
• Effective communication abilities combined with a strong team-oriented approach.
• Dedication to safety, respecting dignity, and delivering resident-centered care.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including rotating shifts involving nights and weekends.
