About the Role

Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is preparing to open a prestigious new luxury hotel and is looking to recruit a Head Waiter for Coreus by Clare Smyth as part of its inaugural team. This role offers a rare chance to play a pivotal part in defining the distinguished guest experience at this landmark property.

Situated at The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, the hotel will feature 100 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, 17,500 sqft of private residences, and two signature restaurants by renowned Michelin-starred chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud. Guests will also enjoy a premier spa, advanced fitness amenities, and grand event venues, including a ballroom that accommodates up to 320 guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and coach a team of waitstaff to deliver flawless, refined service as the vital link between kitchen and dining areas
• Serve as the primary liaison for restaurant inquiries, handling guest concerns with discretion to enhance their dining experience
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation techniques, and product origins to assist guests expertly
• Follow all reporting and escalation processes to uphold operational standards and minimize risks
• Uphold Hilton's grooming and uniform standards to present a professional image
• Professionally manage incoming calls and relay messages promptly and accurately
• Optimize guest seating and flow by mastering restaurant layout and seating plans
• Ensure compliance with all hotel security, fire safety, hygiene, and health regulations

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or professional certification in Hospitality or a related field is advantageous
• Proven track record in luxury food and beverage service
• Experience handling cash and financial transactions accurately and with integrity
• Strong understanding of food hygiene standards and best practices
