Role Overview

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead engineering activities across several product lines and regions. This role requires strategic leadership blended with strong operational execution, ensuring engineering teams deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems aligned with business expansion and compliance demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy supporting business growth and long-term technology goals.
• Manage multiple engineering teams, including backend, frontend, mobile, platform, and infrastructure units.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and governance models across development groups.
• Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of high-availability brokerage, trading, and fintech platforms.
• Ensure platforms are reliable, performant, secure, and scalable to support global markets and high user volumes.
• Lead decisions on architecture, technical roadmaps, and modernization programs.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering leadership such as Tech Leads, Managers, and Architects.
• Foster a culture of accountability, quality, continuous improvement, and ownership across engineering teams.
• Support workforce planning, optimize team structures, and manage succession planning.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Compliance, Risk, Security, and Operations teams to ensure unified delivery.
• Translate business goals into technical objectives with clear timelines and priorities.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to company executives.
• Ensure engineering complies with regulatory, security, and operational standards.
• Implement metrics and monitoring to assess engineering effectiveness and performance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical debt, delivery risks, and scalability challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven leadership in senior engineering roles within fintech, trading platforms, financial services, or other high-scale technology environments.
• Experience managing large, distributed teams across multiple products or geographic regions.
• A successful track record overseeing complex, high-traffic platforms under regulatory or security constraints.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architectures, cloud computing, and designing scalable systems.
• Capability to blend strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership and delivery accountability.
• Experience driving organizational maturity, engineering excellence, and disciplined delivery processes.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at executive levels.
• Proven ability to lead change management, scale teams, and align engineering efforts with business strategy.
• Strong decision-making skills under fast-paced conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or managing trading platforms, brokerage infrastructures, or financial derivatives technology.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and distributed system designs.
• Demonstrated ability to scale engineering organizations in rapidly growing businesses.
