Head Mixologist

About the Role

The Head Mixologist will oversee the cocktail and beverage program within the venue to ensure exceptional quality, consistency, and creativity, aligned with FAB Group standards. This senior role merges expert mixology skills with team leadership, training, and strong operational management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage execution and uniformity of cocktail and beverage offerings following approved recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist in developing and implementing seasonal cocktail menus and beverage promotions.
• Lead, coach, and mentor bartenders and barback staff to maintain high technical standards in mixology, speed, and presentation.
• Provide hands-on training and ongoing skill enhancement to bar team members.
• Direct bar service during busy periods, ensuring excellent guest interactions and premium service quality.
• Address service issues and manage guest feedback professionally.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and organization of bar stations and storage areas.
• Support activities relating to inventory control including portion management and minimizing waste.
• Ensure strict adherence to licensing, health, and safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Between four to six years of experience working in cocktail-focused bar environments.
• In-depth technical expertise in both classic and contemporary mixology techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience training bar teams.
• Ability to remain composed and confident during high-volume service periods.
• Excellent communication skills and a talent for engaging with guests to enhance their experience.
