Role Overview

As the Head Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial part within the kitchen team by supporting staff training and managing rotas while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and smooth operations. This demanding, hands-on position involves assisting chefs during service and upholding stringent hygiene and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety, and organization during service.
  • Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen tools to meet high standards.
  • Support chefs with basic food preparation and general tasks as needed.
  • Handle waste disposal and recycling with responsibility.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries and organizing stock effectively.
  • Uphold strict food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.

Candidate Profile

  • Dependable and diligent with a proactive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork and takes pride in quality work.
  • Well-organized and capable of working efficiently under pressure.
  • Previous kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
