Job description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Manager-level Functional Consultant specializing in Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll. The ideal candidate will possess 8 to 14 years of comprehensive experience with Oracle HCM applications, particularly strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll. This role involves leading payroll functional streams across design, configuration, testing, cutover, and continuous support phases for payroll implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Oracle HCM Payroll functional workstream, from solution design to hypercare and ongoing support.
- Engage with clients to understand requirements and translate payroll policies into Oracle configuration with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Manage complex payroll issues, conducting thorough root-cause analysis and delivering sustainable solutions.
- Review and ensure high-quality payroll configurations, functional designs, and deliverables compliant with agreed standards.
- Oversee incidents, service requests, changes, and problem records by prioritizing and communicating risks and escalations effectively.
- Collaborate across Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Time and Labor, Integrations, Reporting, and Finance teams and manage quarterly release impact assessments and regression tests.
- Coach and mentor functional consultants, enhance team capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining strong client relationships.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8 to 14 years of experience with Oracle HCM applications, emphasizing Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll.
- Proven track record of at least two end-to-end Oracle Fusion Payroll implementation projects.
- Extensive experience with US Payroll and preferable familiarity with Canada Payroll.
- Deep expertise in configuration involving Legislative Data Groups, payroll definitions and calendars, Statutory / Tax Reporting Units, elements, input values, eligibility, calculation cards, balances, payment methods, and payroll costing.
- Strong proficiency with QuickPay, payroll flows, retroactive processing, proration, balance adjustments, costing, and payment processing.
- Hands-on experience with Payroll Fast Formulas and resolving intricate payroll calculation and configuration challenges.
- Comprehensive understanding of US payroll regulations including federal, state, and local taxes, quarter and year-end activities, and legislative updates.
- Ability to manage HDL/payroll data conversions, extracts, and reporting, collaborating effectively with technical teams on integrations and extensions.
- Expertise in conducting fit-gap analyses, translating business needs into scalable payroll configurations, and steering unit testing, UAT, regression testing, and production issue resolution.
- Strong client communication and leadership, adept at risk and escalation management.
Additional Information
Location options include Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Coimbatore. Candidates must be any graduate. Salary offered ranges between 1,200,000 to 2,200,000 INR annually.
