Key Responsibilities

• Follow The Home Depot’s GET Model by Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking customers consistently.
• Proactively approach customers throughout the store, escorting them to suitable merchandise across departments.
• Use open-ended questions to gauge customers’ project requirements and expertise.
• Promote additional services such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, and Pro Services.
• Discuss product options with customers including good, better, and best choices, and recommend supplementary items to complete their projects.
• Educate customers about comprehensive project solutions.
• Utilize empowerment programs as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain daily stock standards, ensuring all products are signed, properly displayed, and clean.
• Keep updated product knowledge for the assigned department and adjacent areas, actively seeking further learning opportunities.
• Comply with all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Work Environment and Requirements

• No travel is required for this role.
• Physical tasks include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving merchandise.
• Work schedule is flexible and may include evening and weekend shifts.
• The workplace is a warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy, with frequent drafts and temperature changes due to open doors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience: 1-2 years in retail or trade is considered an asset.

Compensation and Additional Information

The pay range for this position is between $18.85 and $20.35 per hour.
