Handyperson - Light Maintenance

Role Summary

Join our fast-growing team as a Handyperson responsible for performing light maintenance and cleaning activities throughout our facility in Aventura, Florida. This part-time position involves a combination of routine upkeep, minor repairs, and ensuring the workplace is safe and clean.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute work tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and building schedules.
• Clean various areas including rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, remove debris and spills across sales floors and seating spaces.
• Regularly inspect and empty trash receptacles throughout the site.
• Collect and separate recyclables appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and polish windows, mirrors, and stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, furniture, and display products as required.
• Maintain and police customer and team member restrooms.
• Complete sweep logs as instructed and safely operate cleaning equipment.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, and safety guidelines rigorously.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, and sills.
• Conduct minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
• Perform touch-up and finishing painting tasks.
• Replace light bulbs and replenish restroom supplies.
• Setup and dismantle furniture and equipment in meeting and function rooms.
• Report daily work progress verbally or via written work orders to the supervisor.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and management.
• Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, procedures, and chemical handling instructions (primarily in English; Spanish documents depending on state requirements).
• Critical thinking skills with the capacity to multitask and balance strategic planning with execution.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance roles.
• Willingness to use KBSPresence mobile app for timekeeping and training purposes, with reimbursement for mobile phone use as per local laws.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position offers a start pay between $15.00 and $15.54 per hour, with shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
