Hairstylist

Job Overview

This position requires a Hairstylist to work onsite at a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. The role involves providing a variety of hair cutting, styling, and treatment services while ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining appointment schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage client appointments.
• Cut and trim hair based on client's requests and preferences.
• Shampoo clients' hair thoroughly.
• Shave and shape beards and mustaches professionally.
• Apply diverse hair treatments including waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp massages.
• Use bleaching, tinting, dyeing, or rinsing techniques to colour, frost, or streak hair.
• Perform services such as cutting, trimming, tapering, curling, waving, perming, and styling hair.
• Recommend hairstyle options suited to the client's physical features and personal tastes.
• Carry out receptionist duties when required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid Hairstylist Licence.
• Certification or diploma in other trades, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hairstyling is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in hairstyling techniques including blow drying, iron waving/curling, permanents, and roller setting.
• Competence in hair colouring methods such as bleaching, dyeing/tinting, frosting, and streaking/highlights.
