Role Overview

The Guest Service Supervisor is responsible for managing daily guest service activities to guarantee a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience for hotel guests. This position involves supervising front desk or guest relations teams, addressing guest issues, supporting operational workflows, and upholding exceptional guest satisfaction levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support guest service and front office personnel during shifts
  • Ensure seamless check-in and check-out procedures
  • Respond professionally to guest inquiries, complaints, and specific requests
  • Monitor service standards to maintain company quality requirements
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members
  • Develop shift schedules and allocate tasks
  • Coordinate collaboration with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments
  • Manage accurate billing, reservations, and cash handling processes
  • Oversee lobby and guest area appearance
  • Assist with VIP guest arrangements and escalation scenarios
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and keep operational logs up-to-date
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and company regulations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline
  • Between 2 to 5 years of experience in hospitality or customer service roles
  • Preferably prior supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with hotel management software such as Opera and Fidelio
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Well-developed organizational and multitasking abilities
