Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Group Tax Senior Manager to join our global tax team in Dublin. This key position entails leading European and Asia-Pacific tax compliance, reporting, and advisory duties, with growing involvement in new tax regimes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and review European and Asia-Pacific tax filings conducted by external consultants.
  • Offer technical insights on withholding taxes, VAT, EU Administrative Cooperation Directives, and cross-border tax matters.
  • Support quarterly and annual tax provisioning under ASC 740 (US GAAP), French GAAP, IRGAAP, and IFRS standards, including annual adjustments.
  • Assist in tax inputs for Solvency II reporting, focusing on regulatory capital tax impacts.
  • Evaluate current and deferred tax calculations, uncertain tax positions, and necessary disclosures.
  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Finance, Investment, and Legal.
  • Contribute to calculating, filing, and complying with Pillar Two/GloBE tax requirements, including QDMTT considerations.
  • Stay informed on legislative changes affecting the Group and assess their impacts.
  • Manage relations with external advisors, including Big Four firms.
  • Drive improvements in processes, documentation, and internal controls.
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and clear summaries for senior leadership.
  • Support the year-end audit process and related activities.
  • Conduct research and technical reviews on complex tax matters; support projects such as investments, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
  • Assist the Group Tax Director on planning and tax legislative updates.
  • Support SOX-related documentation and compliance efforts.
  • Review transfer pricing documentation and contribute to annual tax operating guideline compliance campaigns.
  • Engage in various ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in international tax, preferably within financial services.
  • Holds a university degree in Accounting or Tax and professional qualifications such as AITI/CTA along with ACA/ACCA.
  • Knowledgeable in tax reporting under U.S. GAAP and IRGAAP is advantageous.
  • Possesses strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experienced in managing complex cross-border tax matters.
  • Meticulous with a focus on audit-ready documentation.
  • Effective communicator capable of engaging stakeholders outside of tax.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a high-performance environment.
  • Displays excellent organizational skills and can meet strict deadlines independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with tax and accounting software such as PSoft, Wdesk, and OneSource is a plus but not mandatory.
