Group Financial Controller

About the Role

An established and expanding company is looking for a seasoned Group Financial Controller to assume a pivotal leadership role within its finance division. This senior position involves overseeing financial reporting, regulatory compliance, controls, and finance operations across a complex structure featuring multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group’s financial reporting, guaranteeing precise and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
• Manage consolidated management and statutory financial statements across diverse entities and countries.
• Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring that the Group's policies and procedures are consistently enforced.
• Lead management of balance sheets, reconciliations, and ensure reliability of financial data throughout all entities.
• Direct and nurture the finance team with clear guidance, coaching, and performance management.
• Coordinate the annual statutory audit and liaise with external auditors and consultants.
• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, tax laws, statutory responsibilities, and Group protocols in multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee key finance operations ensuring governance and control structures are maintained.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process standardization and improvement to lessen manual work and enhance accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
• Contribute significantly to ERP and finance system initiatives including optimization, implementation, and integration efforts.
• Design and enhance reporting systems, controls, and processes to support organizational growth and complexity.
• Collaborate with senior finance and operational leaders by providing transparent financial insights and resolving accounting and control challenges.
• Support broader finance transformation initiatives and strategic projects as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accounting professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Extensive post-qualification experience in senior financial roles such as Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, or Senior Finance Manager.
• Proven expertise managing finance within multi-entity and preferably multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Strong capabilities in financial reporting, consolidation, and advanced technical accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of financial controls, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated track record in leading and developing finance teams.
• Experience improving and standardizing finance processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Familiarity with ERP systems including participation in implementation, migration, integration, or optimization projects.
• Ability to adapt and lead in dynamic, evolving organizational processes and systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and senior management.
• Commercially astute, highly organized, balancing strategic vision with practical execution.
