Grounds Person

Job Overview

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Grounds Person to join our team. This practical role involves maintaining gardens, landscaped areas, pathways, and outdoor facilities to ensure they remain safe, efficient, and visually attractive.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, paths, car parks, and other landscaped spaces.
• Operate ride-on mowers, tractors, and various power and hand tools.
• Perform mowing, edging, pruning, hedge trimming, and manage weed control.
• Clear litter, debris, leaves, grass clippings, and graffiti.
• Inspect and maintain grounds machinery and vehicles.
• Order and manage grounds maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Report any maintenance problems or safety concerns promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections of fences, access roads, and outdoor assets.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental, and quality policies during all tasks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid White Card.
• Prior experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, or landscaping roles.
• Skilled in operating ride-on mowers and other landscaping tools.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and hazard identification.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive mindset regarding quality standards.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Current driver’s licence is preferred.
• Capacity to obtain any necessary site-specific clearances or licences.
