• Foster a culture of trust and respect among team members through positivity.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued by addressing inquiries about products in your department and the wider store.
• Develop and sustain thorough product knowledge to answer questions and offer informed recommendations.
• Provide product samples to assist customers in discovering new items or fulfilling their product interests.
• Communicate ongoing grocery promotions to customers.
• Supply customers with fresh ordered products.
• Advise customers to help them select grocery items tailored to their needs.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness, check expiration dates, and take necessary action accordingly.
• Label, stock shelves, and manage inventory within the department.
• Report any discrepancies in product orders or shipments to management promptly.
• Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and special promotions.
• Comply strictly with all food safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure refrigerated cases and coolers maintain correct temperatures and that temperature logs are accurate.
• Support workplace safety by adhering to safety protocols, identifying hazards, and promptly informing store leadership.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment and report issues for repair.
• Notify supervisors about any customer or employee accidents immediately.
• Report any safety concerns or illegal activities such as theft, fraud, or robbery without delay.
• Must be capable of fulfilling all essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Able to remain composed during stressful circumstances.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic math proficiency, including counting and simple arithmetic operations.

• Previous experience in retail is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, or write a second language is advantageous.
