Role Overview
We are searching for proactive and teamwork-oriented individuals for the position of Grocery Store Assistant at our San Gwann Wolt Market location. This full-time role involves engaging with the delivery process for groceries, including order handling, picking, packing, and store maintenance. Candidates should be ready to work 40 hours per week with flexible rotating shifts to cover store hours from early morning to late at night.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive orders via the Merchant application and process them efficiently.
- Pick and pack grocery items accurately, ensuring timely handover to customers or courier partners.
- Unload deliveries of food and supplies from vendors carefully.
- Manage internal systems that maintain detailed data on nutritional content and allergens for store products.
- Keep the store clean and organized at all times to maintain a welcoming environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Proactive attitude and quick learning capability with good multitasking skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, within store operational hours from 6:45 AM to 1:00 AM.
- Possession of transportation means to commute during unconventional hours.
- Prior experience working in a grocery store environment is advantageous.
- Fluent professional-level English communication skills.
- Legal right to work in Malta and current residence in the country.

The hourly wage for this position is €7.21, with final salary offers determined by individual qualifications and market factors.
