Position Overview

This role is widely applicable across the majority of store locations. The grocery clerk in the food section is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service continuously. Duties include product processing, merchandising, and maintaining a tidy and appealing work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and store deliveries following established protocols.
• Properly package, label products, and update pricing as per company standards.
• Arrange products attractively on counters and in displays.
• Manage product rotation to maintain freshness.
• Provide attentive and exceptional customer service.
• Operate equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace, counters, and shelves at all times.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Stay alert to reduce product loss and damage.
• Execute additional related tasks as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Strong understanding of receiving, production, and display duties beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and sensitivity to customer needs.
• Proficient technical skills related to the specific department.
• Known for energy, interpersonal abilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work various shifts during store business hours.
