Role Overview

As a Grocery Clerk, you will be responsible for managing a wide array of duties efficiently and professionally. Your role includes delivering exceptional service that fosters customer loyalty, meeting customer needs, and supporting a vibrant and engaging store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety guidelines, standard procedures, health and safety regulations, corporate policies, and various company programs.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and merchandising of stock in line with company inventory control standards.
• Offer outstanding customer service to satisfy shopper needs.
• Help boost store sales by actively promoting featured merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of back shop and sales floor areas per company requirements.
• Prepare customer orders when necessary.
• Handle department shrinkage processes as required.
• Assist in training new or junior employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Capable of working autonomously in a dynamic, fast-moving setting.
• Good communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to lift items up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and reaching.
