Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning within the grocery department to keep it customer-ready at all times.
• Perform regular merchandise rotation and promptly remove any expired or damaged goods to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensure all merchandise is appropriately signed and priced accurately, following company procedures for ordering, clearance, adjustments, marking, flagging, and labeling.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, handling, sanitation, and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Keep the department fully stocked and prepared by performing stocking duties, completing downstocking tasks when needed, protecting products as required, and setting modular displays including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being open to varied work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

Challenges in this Role

• Manage overnight shift demands efficiently by planning and maintaining energy levels to remain focused.
• Handle substantial workloads in a fast-paced setting by completing restocking and recovery tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Meet physical demands, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing with careful attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.

The starting minimum hourly rate for this role is $17.75 CAD.
