Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning in the grocery section to always present a customer-ready appearance.
• Regularly rotate stock, removing any expired or damaged items to guarantee product freshness and quality.
• Ensure all items are accurately priced and signed, adhering to established protocols for ordering, pricing adjustments, labeling, and clearance procedures.
• Follow all food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to create a safe and hygienic workplace.
• Keep the department fully stocked by replenishing merchandise and executing stock-down activities as required; apply product protection and arrange modular displays, including flexible setups and new shelf caps.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands and ensure consistent customer service.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting, especially during overnight shifts, to maintain focus and energy.
• Keep up with physically demanding duties such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, as well as repetitive stocking and zoning tasks that require attention to detail.
