Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and correct zoning of the grocery department to ensure readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or damaged items to keep product quality and freshness.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage by following established protocols for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, flagging, and labeling.
• Adhere to food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning standards to uphold a hygienic and safe workspace.
• Fully stock the department through replenishing merchandise, completing downstocking when necessary, applying product protection, and setting modular displays including flex modules and new shelf caps.
• Comply with all health and safety policies to maintain a clean, hazard-free working environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being available for various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, maintaining focus and energy.
• Perform physical duties including long periods of standing, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.75 per hour.
