Bakery Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills within retail operations. In this role, you are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart’s core values, maintaining the bakery section, supporting shelf stocking, and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain product quality and attractive presentation of bakery items such as breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for daily business operations.
• Ensure all bakery products have accurate signage and pricing.
• Comply with all food safety policies including cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper product rotation, and sell-by/expiration dates adherence.
• Follow proper sanitation and cleaning protocols to uphold food hygiene standards.
• Execute ordering, clearance actions, price adjustments, labelling, and signage tasks according to company procedures.
• Prepare bakery items by following thawing and baking instructions meticulously to preserve quality and appearance.
• Secure all product displays safely and appropriately within the department.

Additional Information

The starting hourly wage for this role is $19.10 CAD.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
