Consumables Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Consumables Associate offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in retail. This role involves supporting a dynamic and high-traffic merchandise flow from storage areas to the retail floor. As part of a team, you'll stock, organize, and assist customers within a safe and clean store environment, promoting great customer service throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome every customer with politeness and friendliness.
• Support shoppers by advertising products, helping them find items, and aiding their purchase decisions.
• Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating complex concerns to management when necessary.
• Keep the sales floor tidy and appealing by stocking shelves, rotating products, removing expired or damaged goods, arranging displays, and updating pricing and signage.
• Handle claims and returns appropriately, protect merchandise, track items prone to shrinkage, and ensure workplace safety following company guidelines.
• Receive incoming merchandise, stock items, use equipment correctly, and manage associated paperwork and logs efficiently.
• Refer customers to a Customer Service Manager for specific services or transactions when relevant.
• Engage in stocking, order picking, and downstocking tasks. Apply product protection as required and manage modular displays, including new shelf cap installations and flexible modular setups.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
