Job description

About the Company

Skyline Enterprises is a global tourism and attractions company dedicated to delivering authentic and enjoyable experiences worldwide. Originating from New Zealand with operations spanning Asia, North America, and Europe, the company offers iconic gondolas, luge tracks, adventure activities, dining venues, and immersive attractions.

Role Overview

This newly established Graphic Designer role based in Queenstown will report to the Content Manager within Skyline's Marketing team. The position involves managing design projects from initial brief to final output for various media including print, digital platforms, signage, marketing campaigns, presentations, operational materials, and digital display screens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend and clarify project requirements, challenge briefs when appropriate, and propose suitable design solutions.
  • Create reusable, brand-approved templates and systematize design processes to enable teams to update content consistently while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Provide video editing support for internal communications, digital signage, promotional campaigns, and social media content using supplied video footage.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess between 4 to 7 years of professional experience in graphic design with a robust portfolio encompassing both digital and print projects.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; familiarity with Figma and proficient video editing using Premiere Pro or similar software.
  • Experienced in managing design deliverables from briefing through stakeholder feedback to the final production-ready version.
  • Strong attention to brand consistency and the ability to creatively work within established brand guidelines.
  • Able to manage multiple competing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability when urgent tasks arise.
  • Demonstrates a curious and solution-oriented mindset, willing to question briefs to grasp underlying needs and recommend optimal design approaches rather than just producing outputs.

Benefits and Working Conditions

  • Chance to influence and improve internal design workflows, template development, and creative systems.
  • Opportunities to work on a diverse array of projects across Skyline’s Queenstown and Rotorua locations, supporting wider business and select international needs.
  • Position based onsite in Queenstown with some flexibility regarding individual working arrangements.
  • Join a well-established New Zealand tourism business with a reputable brand and exposure to a variety of customer-centric design challenges.
