Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Overview

AtkinsRéalis invites applications from recent graduates to join as Quantity Surveyors working on newly awarded diverse projects across the UAE. This opportunity allows you to contribute to high-profile developments as part of a growing professional team.

Role Responsibilities

• Organize measurement activities for cost estimates and plans preparation.
• Prepare draft estimates and cost plans for evaluation.
• Create Bills of Quantities (BOQ) including writing preambles and general requirements.
• Conduct market research to compile and update unit rates for use in estimates.
• Perform quantity verification on and off site related to payments and variations.
• Review and verify subcontractor invoices on site.
• Maintain detailed payment registers and records.
• Inspect materials on-site and off-site and confirm acceptance with client representatives for payment approval.
• Manage records and payments for all subcontractor agreements.
• Verify contractors and suppliers' final accounts on-site, make necessary adjustments, and advise clients accordingly.
• Develop and update cash flow forecasts and provide monthly cost reports.
• Prepare cost estimates for alternative design proposals and project variations.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience level ranging from 0 to 2 years.
• Proficiency with computers, including AutoCAD measurement tools and Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of cost planning at various design stages (conceptual to detailed).
• Familiarity with measurement and BOQ preparation using POMI and CESMM standards.
• Understanding of contract documentation collation and FDIC forms of contracts.
• Experience or knowledge related to hotels, residential, retail, and mixed-use development projects.
• Competence in compiling unit rates for estimation.
