GoLang Engineer

Role Overview

This position focuses on contributing to the global Loyalty and Benefits platform, specifically enhancing features within the Account domain.

Key Duties

• Develop and improve backend components in the Account area of the platform.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers across the platform to exchange expertise and principles.
• Operate within a Scrum team environment to deliver well-tested business functions and customer workflows, ensuring automation through the CI/CD pipeline to production.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or comparable professional experience.
• Have demonstrable experience in professional software development.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in at least one type-safe backend programming language, specifically Golang.
• Experience designing backend microservices architectures using REST and asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity working within Scrum frameworks, actively participating in team delivery of automated, tested business functionalities through CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of test-driven development strategies, including unit, component, functional, system integration, and regression testing.
• Awareness of software engineering methodologies such as Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and Waterfall.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration, deployment, and testing tools like Jenkins, Rally, JIRA and version control platforms such as GIT or SVN.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Kafka, PostgreSQL, gRPC, Docker, and GraphQL technologies is advantageous.
