The role involves collaborating with finance teams and various business units to guarantee comprehensive tax compliance throughout the Group while maintaining robust governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate, indirect tax, and customs compliance across several countries by coordinating both internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Control the Group's transfer pricing framework, ensuring policies and intercompany pricing reflect the operational model, tax strategy, and abide by OECD guidelines and local jurisdictional rules.
  • Work alongside Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain departments to incorporate business and operational changes appropriately into the transfer pricing model.
  • Lead the deployment and continual compliance of global e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements, collaborating with Finance, IT, and external partners to implement scalable ERP solutions.
  • Supervise VAT governance matters including registrations, compliance, reconciliations, and provide advisory assistance.

Governance and Risk Management

  • Maintain ownership of all tax-related policies and procedures, updating them when necessary.
  • Conduct internal audits of compliance with tax policies, employing outside experts as needed.
  • Create a tax risk management reporting framework that integrates with the Group's overall risk reporting structure.
  • Report on tax risk issues to the Risk Committee.
  • Act as a principal participant in shaping the Group’s tax strategy in collaboration with the CFO, Chairman, and external tax consultants.

Candidate Requirements

  • CTA qualification with preferably experience in a Big 4 accounting firm covering both direct and indirect tax areas.
  • Three to five years of tax experience post-qualification in multinational companies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Irish Corporation Tax, VAT, and Transfer Pricing regulations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a curious mind to solve complex business challenges, keen attention to detail, and the capability to analyze extensive data both from overarching and granular perspectives.
