About the role
A well-established financial services company is seeking to fill a new position of Indirect Tax Manager. Reporting directly to senior finance leaders, this role involves leading a comprehensive GST governance enhancement initiative. Responsibilities include reviewing existing GST practices, identifying deficiencies, reinforcing controls, and spearheading remediation and process improvements across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the GST governance improvement plan
- Assess and upgrade GST controls and processes
- Detect and resolve GST compliance risks and gaps
- Assist during Australian Taxation Office (ATO) audits and interactions with tax authorities
- Collaborate with finance, risk management, and operational teams
- Promote ongoing improvements within the GST framework
About You
- Proven experience in GST and indirect tax matters
- Background in financial services or similarly complex corporate sectors
- Familiarity with tax governance, control assessments, assurance reviews, or remediation initiatives
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and clear communication
