Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive System Administrator with practical expertise in Microsoft messaging and cloud identity systems. This operational role focuses on administering Microsoft Exchange (both on-premises and Exchange Online), Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Entra ID. The successful candidate will ensure our messaging and identity infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and current.

Teamwork and cultural compatibility are as important to us as technical proficiency, as this role requires collaborating closely with our established IT team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 on-premises and Exchange Online platforms.
  • Plan and execute mailbox and workload migrations from on-premises Exchange to Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, including handling hybrid coexistence, mail flow, and cutover operations.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 messaging services including Exchange Online mailboxes, distribution groups, mail flow, and mailbox licensing.
  • Handle mailbox and mail-related functions in Entra ID, support messaging and Microsoft 365 integration with single sign-on and federation protocols (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML), while adhering to identity policies implemented by the IAM team such as identity lifecycle management, RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.
  • Maintain core Windows infrastructure components like Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and hybrid identity solutions via AD Connect.
  • Provide daily operational support and handle escalations from helpdesk teams relating to incidents, changes, and problem management.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards, manage patch cycles, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Automate routine IT tasks using PowerShell scripting.

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in Singapore with valid work authorization.
  • Extensive hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 or Subscription Edition; not limited to troubleshooting or indirect support roles.
  • Documented experience in planning and implementing mailbox migrations from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online.
  • Experience supporting an internal corporate IT environment with direct end-user support; candidates with purely consulting, system integrator, or project-based backgrounds are unsuitable.
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to integrate and enhance the existing IT team dynamics.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Entra ID, including identity and access management, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Role-Based Access Control/Privileged Identity Management.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Azure and Azure Stack administration.
  • Knowledgeable about authentication and federation protocols: OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration encompassing Exchange Online and optionally SharePoint/Teams.
  • Experienced with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity configurations via AD Connect.
  • Ability to script and automate workflows using PowerShell.

Desired Personal Traits

  • Dependable team player who contributes positively to team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Self-motivated individual with ownership mentality, comfortable working hands-on in a stable internal IT function.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours and willingness to travel as required.

Additional Information

Joining Vitol provides the chance to be part of a high-performing, globally connected team where talent is recognized and individuals are empowered. This role offers exposure to the intersection of energy markets and technology within a truly international organization.
