Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Global Project Planning Manager based in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Create, standardize, implement, and continuously refine project planning methodologies, tools, and scheduling standards across multiple regions worldwide.
• Assist regional project teams in developing realistic and feasible baseline schedules during tendering and the early phases of projects.
• Evaluate project schedules for their feasibility, completeness, quality, and risks related to execution.
• Perform quality reviews and due diligence assessments of project planning to enhance schedule reliability at regional and global levels.
• Provide training, coaching, and support to regional schedulers on planning systems, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ensure project scheduling resources are qualified, capable, and available across global regions.
• Offer expert advice on scheduling requirements and aid teams in resolving intricate planning challenges.
• Identify and implement improvements to boost schedule accuracy, consistency, and dependability.
• Communicate complex planning concepts and recommendations clearly to project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, engineering, project management, or an associated discipline.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in project scheduling, with proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Deep understanding of international project execution and scheduling, preferably in power generation, hydro, infrastructure, or large-scale plant construction sectors.
• Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, or leading project planning teams functionally.
• Strong grasp of planning methodologies, scheduling standards, baseline establishment, risk analysis, and schedule quality evaluation.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to address complex scheduling and execution problems effectively.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills capable of simplifying complex scheduling concepts for varied audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and align regional teams without direct managerial authority.
• Confident leadership presence adaptable to multinational organizational settings.
