Job description
About Gate
Established in 2013, Gate stands as one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges globally, serving over 50 million users and consistently ranking among the top three exchanges worldwide. The company operates with a remote-first culture emphasizing ownership, quick decision-making, and straightforward communication.
Role Purpose
The Global Partnerships team is broadening its deal-making scope beyond asset listings to include TradFi and Web3 products like decentralized exchanges (DEX), wallets, and blockchain infrastructure. As this deal pipeline expands, the company is seeking a proactive individual to identify and qualify partnership opportunities, initiate early contacts, and advance deals in collaboration with senior partnerships leads. This position is ideal for those early in their partnerships career aiming to engage directly in deal-making rather than administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships across asset listings, traditional finance, and Web3 sectors.
- Conduct initial outreach and manage early discussions with prospective partners.
- Assist in live deals by performing due diligence, preparing proposals, and participating in commercial negotiations, progressively taking on more responsibility.
- Maintain ongoing communications with current partners to nurture relationships.
- Generate research and deal documentation as well as updates for internal teams and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, legal, compliance, risk, operations, and marketing to drive deal execution.
- Monitor the sales pipeline, deal progression, and partner engagement to ensure active follow-ups.
- Represent Gate at industry events and meetings with strategic partners.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses 2 to 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, account management, fintech, financial services, digital assets, or Web3 sectors.
- Exceptional command of English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Chinese is advantageous.
- Demonstrates a strong interest and foundational knowledge of cryptocurrency and Web3, capable of meaningful discussions with project teams.
- Comfortable initiating outreach to unfamiliar contacts and sustaining engagement.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, able to autonomously manage pipelines in a remote-first environment.
- Preferred but not required: experience with listings, DEX, wallets, stablecoins, tokenization, blockchain infrastructure, or existing networks within crypto or Web3.
Why Join This Role
You will be actively involved in live partnerships encompassing listings, traditional finance, and Web3 during your initial month, avoiding purely supportive tasks. The compact team size ensures that the opportunities you uncover are the ones you manage, providing direct exposure to senior management and meaningful deal impact. This role offers an exceptional pathway to accelerate a partnerships career in the global crypto landscape.
