Job description
About Gate
Founded in 2013, Gate is one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges globally, serving over 50 million users and consistently ranking within the top three worldwide. Operating with a remote-first culture across various time zones, Gate emphasizes ownership, speed, and transparent communication to drive success.
Role Overview
The Global Partnerships team at Gate is broadening its scope beyond asset listings to include TradFi and Web3 ventures like decentralized exchanges, wallets, and blockchain infrastructure. This opportunity is tailored for individuals early in their partnerships journey, offering hands-on experience with actual deals rather than peripheral support tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify partnership prospects spanning asset listings, TradFi, and Web3 product sectors.
- Initiate first-contact outreach and nurture early engagement with potential partners.
- Assist with active deals by contributing to due diligence, proposal drafting, and commercial negotiations, progressively taking on greater responsibility.
- Oversee daily communication with current partners to maintain robust relationships.
- Compile partner research, design deal documentation, and prepare updates for the team and senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, compliance, risk, operations, and marketing teams to facilitate deal completion.
- Monitor partnership pipeline, deal progress, and partner interactions to ensure momentum is sustained.
- Represent Gate at relevant industry conferences and partner engagements.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, account management, fintech, financial services, digital assets, or Web3 industries.
- Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Chinese is an added benefit.
- Strong personal interest in and working knowledge of cryptocurrency and Web3, capable of engaging in credible discussions with project teams.
- Comfortable with initiating conversations proactively and sustaining them with unfamiliar contacts.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage own pipeline effectively in a remote-first work model.
- Preferred but not mandatory: familiarity with listings, decentralized exchanges, wallets, stablecoins, tokenization, blockchain infrastructure, or existing cryptocurrency/Web3 networks.
Why Join Gate?
From the first month, you will actively engage with live partnership deals encompassing listings, TradFi, and Web3 segments rather than relegated to administrative roles. The tight-knit team ensures that the deals you source are ones you work on directly, with transparent exposure to senior management. This position offers a unique and accelerated pathway to develop a high-impact global partnerships career within the evolving crypto landscape.
