About the Role
An international telecommunications group headquartered in Dubai seeks a seasoned Global Finance Manager. This pivotal position is responsible for overseeing the financial control frameworks for operations spanning over 25 countries worldwide, including regions such as Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia. The role encompasses both Mobile Network Operator (MNO) and Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) business sectors.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, this senior, operational finance position demands ensuring robust financial governance, uniform accounting standards, and resilient controls tailored for an intricate multinational group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold the Group’s IFRS accounting policies with specialized focus on telecommunications accounting practices.
- Manage intercompany accounting processes and governance, including recharge mechanisms, allocation of costs, reconciliations, and supporting transfer pricing policies.
- Guarantee that intercompany accounts are reconciled thoroughly prior to group-wide financial consolidation.
- Oversee the financial compliance schedule across various countries and numerous legal entities within the group.
- Conduct frequent reviews of balance sheet accuracy, identifying and addressing unsupported or aged account balances.
- Offer leadership and guidance on intricate accounting issues and collaborate with external auditors to resolve them.
- Formulate and maintain frameworks related to financial delegations of authority and approval workflows.
- Ensure the effectiveness of key financial controls tied to chart of accounts, master data accuracy, journal entry authorizations, and segregation of duties.
- Support business transformation activities, introduction of new product offerings, platform migration projects, and commercial agreements specific to MNO and MVNO operations by providing financial control insights.
- Coordinate with international finance teams and the Group CFO to promote consistency in financial standards and practices across the organization.
