Geologist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced geologist with over ten years of expertise in geosciences to join our team in Jakarta. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive geological analysis, including stratigraphy, sedimentology, structural restoration, and petroleum system modeling on multiple dimensions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze regional geology by constructing stratigraphic columns and performing sedimentological studies alongside generating Geological Data Envelopes (GDE).
• Investigate structural features to develop structural restoration models applicable to petroleum system modeling.
• Conduct geological process modeling and interpret results from laboratory tests, including source rock and hydrocarbon analyses (GCMS).
• Integrate multidisciplinary information to build petroleum system models across 1D, 2D, and 3D frameworks.
• Perform play-to-prospect analysis and economic evaluations supporting exploration activities.
• Conduct sedimentological, stratigraphic, and basin analyses through data such as core samples, cuttings, outcrops, seismic profiles, and well logs.
• Interpret depositional environments across various settings like fluvial, deltaic, lacustrine, shallow marine, deepwater, and carbonate systems.
• Develop facies models and depositional frameworks, applying sequence stratigraphy to assist basin and reservoir characterization.
• Integrate geological, petrophysical, seismic, and biostratigraphic data to enhance subsurface modeling.
• Assess reservoir quality, distribution, connectivity, and heterogeneity with the aim of optimizing exploration, appraisal, and field development strategies.
• Produce detailed technical documentation, mapping, presentations, and strategic recommendations concerning reservoir characterization and optimal well placement in coordination with cross-disciplinary subsurface teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess over 10 years of professional experience in geoscience-related roles.
• Academic background in Geoscience or related disciplines.
• Must be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
• Indonesian nationality required.
