Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist to join our team in Tirana. The successful candidate will be accountable for examining spatial data, overseeing geospatial databases, and producing detailed maps and visualizations. The role includes maintaining and scrutinizing GIS datasets and designing geographic data solutions for multiple projects while collaborating with different teams to ensure reliable and efficient geospatial data utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze spatial datasets to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making.
- Manage and maintain geospatial databases to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Create comprehensive maps and visual representations using GIS tools.
- Implement geographic data solutions tailored to project-specific needs.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize the application of geospatial information.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in the use of Geographic Information Systems and geospatial data analysis techniques.
- Experienced in the creation of maps and visual data representation tools.
- Skilled in managing and organizing large volumes of data efficiently.
- Strong analytical thinking with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and familiarity with relevant GIS software applications.
- Understanding of cartographic principles and compliance with geospatial data standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or closely related field.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, suitable for an on-site collaborative environment.
Working Hours and Benefits
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
