Job description
Position Overview
This role supports management and leadership by addressing and resolving various Human Resources concerns. It involves assisting employees with internal and external transfer procedures and guiding supervisors and managers through the recruitment process. The position requires coordination of applicant screenings such as drug tests, background checks, reference checks, motor vehicle records, and social security verifications. It also includes maintaining detailed logs of applicant flow, drug screens, orientations, and transfer requests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding processes including creating and managing new hire and personnel files within Human Resource Information Systems.
- Oversee recruitment and hiring procedures ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records including interview documentation and employment verification forms.
- Support payroll record processing in line with company policies when required.
- Identify and communicate employee relations issues to the Human Resources management.
- Maintain organized filing systems and generate required HR data reports.
- Respond to phone calls, manage office correspondence, and act as a subject matter expert on HR processes and systems.
- Participate in training programs for new hires on HR-related topics and systems.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain professionalism in appearance and confidentiality, and exemplify excellent communication skills.
- Perform general office duties and other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar HR role.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No specific licenses or certifications are mandatory for this position.
