About The Merrion

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance repairs and installations promptly and professionally.
  • Notify the Maintenance Manager or supervisor when inventory items fall below necessary levels.
  • Collaborate with departments such as housekeeping, reception, and food production to address maintenance needs effectively and foster strong interdepartmental relations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all completed repairs and installations to ensure compliance and for future reference.
  • Keep maintenance-related areas including workshops, plant rooms, and offices clean, tidy, and waste bins emptied regularly.
  • Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from guests and other departments to reduce disruptions to hotel operations.
  • Perform tasks related to car park management as scheduled and ensure waste areas remain clean and uncontaminated.
  • Provide prompt, supportive assistance to colleagues when needed and show flexibility to assist across the hotel according to business and guest requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Solid expertise in woodworking, maintenance repairs, and installation tasks.
  • Efficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for various maintenance matters.
  • Understanding and compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on operational demands.
